Founded in 1921, Nanchang University is a national “double first-class” construction of the world’s best academic university. It is the only national “211 project” university in Jiangxi. It is a joint university under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Education of Jiangxi Province. It is a high-level university in Jiangxi Province. The university is located in Nanchang, “Hero City”.

It has five campuses in Qianhu, Qingshan, Donghu, Poyang, and Fuzhou. The Qianhu campus covers an area of 4520 mu, with a campus area of 1.5 million square meters. In 1921, it was originally founded as Jiangxi National Medical College and in 1940 as MBBS in Nanchang University. In 1993, Jiangxi University and Jiangxi University of Technology merged to form Nanchang University, which was a reform of the national higher education system.

In 2005, Nanchang University and Jiangxi Medical University merged to form the new Nanchang University, marking a new step forward in university reform and development.

Jiangxi Province has the Jiangxi Humanities and Social Sciences Research Centre, the Central Humanities and Social Sciences Research Base under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, the National Red Tourism Innovation and Development Research Base, two key laboratories under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, three engineering research centers, one national university science and technology park and nine innovation cooperation centers.

It attaches great importance to international education and has established exchanges and cooperation with more than 150 universities and research institutions in over 30 countries and regions. Together with the Canadian Department of Agriculture and Food, it has set up a Joint Institute for Food Science and Safety, a Russian Language Centre with a Russian university and 10 foreign internship centers.

The collaboration with the Queen Mary University of London is the pinnacle of Sino-foreign cooperation in the biomedical field. It has also established Confucius Institutes in France, Spain, and Indonesia, as well as a Chinese Studies Research Centre in Russia. MBBS fee package for Pakistani, African, and international students from Nanchang University

( 2021-2022 admission in September )

Diploma award = Clinical Medicine (MBBS) 06-year program

Admission Criteria: Students must have a minimum of 70% marks or an A grade in HSSC to apply.

HSK Examination Policy: Chinese is taught in the first year and students have to pass HSK-3 or HSK-4 (depending on the Ministry’s policy) to continue 5 years of medical studies.

Application fee with documents = U$250 (non-refundable),

Total cost for the first year = RMB 37 000.

The first-year tuition fee includes tuition fees, hostel fees, administrative fees, registration, residence permit, medical examination, insurance fees, etc.

From the 2nd year to the 6th year (every year) = 24 600 RMB per year.

Tuition fee = 20,000 RMB + hostel = 4,600 RMB

Important points to consider :

The student must pay RMB on arrival, otherwise, the student will not be admitted to the hostel.

Fees paid are non-refundable.

The student has to pay for stationery, electricity, a one-way ticket to Nanchang and the airport, and an airport pick-up fee.

At Nanchang Medical University, food costs are usually RMB 1000-1200 per month.

From the 2nd year onwards, students have to pay their own residence permit and insurance fees.

The student must follow the policies and regulations of Nanchang Medical School and the Nanchang Education Department.

Pakistani and Indian students have to follow the rules and regulations set by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council and the Indian Medical Council respectively.
